Military Veterans

Use your veteran education benefits. Knowledge to Work (K2W) will help you translate experience you earned while serving our country towards a degree or certificate.
Knowledge to Work is funded by a U.S. Department of Labor TAACCCT grant that focuses partly on serving veterans.
Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) has been approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Veterans Services to provide education and training to eligible persons in seven different competency-based education (CBE) programs as outlined below.

If you are a veteran and are interested in CBE, we encourage you to contact us and take advantage of this great opportunity.

We help you use your veteran education benefits by translating your experience you earned while serving our country towards a degree or certificate.

You're a veteran and the experience you earned should be marketable yet you found, in most cases, you need a degree or certificate to prove your skills. Your dilemma is whether or not you spend time in a classroom relearning what you already know or take advantage of competency-based education (CBE).

Why spend time and money in a classroom relearning what you already know? The obvious answer is... You shouldn't and Knowledge to Work can help you translate your existing skills and experience (the competencies you obtained during your military career) into a degree or certificate much quicker and affordably than in a classroom.
