There are many benefits of signing up for a service organization profile account on KnowledgeToWork.com. Adding services to your service organization profile once you have signed up for your account is crucial to attracting users to your profile.

Service organizations on KnowledgeToWork.com can include everything from formal education providers like community colleges, trade schools, and universities to job search assistance centers. In any case, it’s important for organizations that provide services to learners and job seekers to have effective and efficient outreach practices to ensure potential users of their services are aware of them. A service organization profile on Knowledge to Work allows learners and job seekers to locate your organization in our Service Search engine. It also informs them of the types of services available to them through your organization, whether those are student services, job seeker services, or both. This can help you attract new students and increase your community outreach.

Adding Services

Adding services to your service organization profile is simple. While logged into your account, select the “Services” tab from your dashboard menu. To add a new type of service your organization provides to your profile, select the appropriate category from the dropdown menu at the top of this screen, then click “Add.”

You will then be directed to a page for adding new services to your profile. From this page, you can select the type of service you provide from the dropdown menu at the top. Next, select all the locations where this service is available by clicking the checkbox to the left of those locations. Click “Save” to add this service to your profile. Repeat this process until all the services your organization has available have been added to your profile.

You can view descriptions of each service type under the “Support” tab of your dashboard by selecting “Frequently Asked Questions,” then “Service Organizations” and scrolling down until you see the questions for filter option definitions.

Editing the Locations of a Service

If you need to change the locations that a service is available at, start by clicking “Services” in your dashboard menu. You can view a list of all the services you have indicated are provided by your service organization on this screen. If you do not see the service you need to edit listed, select the category of that service from the dropdown menu at the top of this page. To the right of the name of each service, you will see a list of the locations you have indicated that service is provided at. To change this list of locations, click “Edit Locations” above this location list. You can now select or deselect locations as appropriate for this service. Finalize your changes by clicking “Save Changes.”

Deleting a Service

To delete a service from your service organization profile, start by clicking “Services” in your dashboard menu. You can view a list of all the services you have indicated are provided by your service organization on this screen. If you do not see the service you need to delete listed, select the category of that service from the dropdown menu at the top of this page. To delete a service, simply click the red “Delete” button to the right of that service.
