Knowledge to Work made some updates to help our users reach their educational goals! We’ve redesigned our personalized learning plans (PLPs) and added several new features.
Your personalized learning plan, or PLP, is the centerpiece of your account with KnowledgeToWork.com as a learner. Your personalized learning plan includes all of your educational goals, a list of the competencies (skills) you will need to accomplish each of those goals, and various management tools to help you as you progress toward those goals. In your learning plan, you will be able to set due dates for learning competencies, leave comments for yourself to help keep track of your learning, keep track of which competencies you have already learned or still need to work on, monitor your progress towards your learning goals, and more.
The new PLP dashboard makes it easier to view your progress toward all your educational goals in one place!
The PLP redesign includes moving the menu to the left side:
The menu is now also collapsible so it’s there when you need it and out of your way when you don’t (simply click this symbol: ^ in the upper left to collapse and this symbol: ≡ to expand).
The new design also makes several features easier to use. You can now manage your learning plan and your Favorites Library with fewer clicks!
One new feature added with this update is that you can now manage all your upcoming due date goals for learning competencies on one page, known as your Schedule:
You can also now search for learning resources on every page using this search bar located toward the upper right of your screen:
Our new interface also makes it easier to add educational goals. Adding custom goals is now a one-step process, and we’ve also added the ability to view educational goals related to the ones you’ve already added to your plan:
The new Activity tab allows you to review learning resources, competencies, and educational goals you’ve viewed in the past in addition to viewing your search history. No more hunting down pages you were interested in but forgot to save!
As always, you can contribute learning resources, update your profile settings, and receive technical support from your account as well!
Best of all, all of the features (and many more) offered on KnowledgeToWork.com to support you on your work-based learning journey are completely free.
