Saylor Academy is hosting their Saylor Higher Education Summit on June 21 and 22, 2017 in Washington, DC and Knowledge to Work’s own Jeremiah Shifflett will be speaking on a panel relating to alternative credentials. Jeremiah is the Database Administrator at Knowledge to Work and also works in institutional reporting and information systems at Lord Fairfax Community College.

Knowledge to Work is pleased to take part in Saylor Academy’s Higher Education Summit through discussions about competency-based education and other initiatives such as alternative credentials. We recognize there are more than 30 million people in the United States with college credits that never completed their degree. Many of these adults seek a credential to further their careers. Most never do. Some believe they simply can’t re-enter higher education due to time, money, or other constraints. Knowledge to Work believes we are a part of the solution. The underemployed are well served by KnowledgeToWork.com’s free learning ecosystem.

KnowledgeToWork.com is more than just a learning portal and search engine. We offer free competency-based education using personalized learning plans. Our learning resources are tied to competencies and aligned to national frameworks and they come from organizations like Saylor Academy who share our beliefs about free and open education.
